I did not know of a Java port, but this reminds me there is some kind of JavaScript-based environment for DOS that I see linked now and then (think it is bundled with FreeDOS?). Probably this one:

The 3DO OS Source Code Has Been Uploaded To Archive.org
I am not the original uploader, so I cannot answer that question. However, the person who maintains the Opera 3DO emulator uploaded it to their GitHub on the same day that the Archive.org upload was made and is available here: https://github.com/trapexit/portfolio_os
