CyberChef from GCHQ: The Cyber Swiss Army Knife
It uses a combination of magic bytes (like the `file` command), entropy analysis and character frequency detection to determine whether an output is likely to be of interest to the user.
The file type mechanism is written here[0]. There's a list of all signatures we detect here[1].

HTB - Pilgrimage Writeup
When we did cargo run "/etc/passwd" on the file we got an image with code injected into it. When we upload it to the server and download the "shrunken" version of it we can run identify -verbose {image} to get the outputting hex values of our input. Inputting it to something like CyberChef and converting it from hex to ascii we get this output:
- HTTPie Desktop: cross-platform API testing client for humans

Show HN: Firefox addon to quarantine a tab to use offline with private data
Many of the use cases mentioned are available through a single tool called CyberChef.
There is an online version [1] but it doesn't submit any data to any servers. It only loads JS for the operations it needs to perform.
You can also download it and run it offline [2]. This is what I do.
I'll leave it up to you to decide if this makes QuaranTab unnecessary or if it's the perfect reason to use QuaranTab.

Unlocking Discord Nitro Features for Free
CyberChef has been my go to for a while for this sort of stuff. Easy to use GUI, can stack multiple commands fairly easily.

Welcome to Bypass Paywalls Chrome Clean
FWIW I am happy that magnolia1234 forked iamadamdev's repo. I wanted to report that barrons.com is not working with the original repo (https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome). But I could not. https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome/issues/... was giving the following notice.
An owner of this repository has limited the ability to open an issue to users that have contributed to this repository in the past.
barrons.com worked out of the box with the new repo (https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean).
It was MIT licensed until April 2020: https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome/commit/...
I don't know exactly when they forked, from the issue it looks like November 2020, so the portion of code that was unlicensed might just be their own contributions?
What a weird, overly-confrontational message from the fork's author! No need to call someone publishing work for free lazy, ignorant, not the sharpest tool in the shed etc.
Plus, the original repository isn't even licensed https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome . So magnolia1234 probably forked it illegally after copying the name (although it seems like iamadamdev doesn't mind too much).
If there's a basically what amounts to a harassment/spam campaign against iamadamdev on his own repo, no wonder the original author is not a fan of the drama and deletes irrelevant issues.

Texas Pipeline Operators Released 100s of Tons of Gas to Avert Explosions During Heatwave (extreme heats causes release of gas that causes extreme heat)
Article text (I use a combination of Ublock Origin and Paywall Bypass Chrome (github repo; have to manually add it to Chrome. It works on Firefox, too but you can't add custom links).
I posted the article text in a different top level comment, but I use a combination of Ublock Origin and Paywall Bypass Chrome to get around paywalls. It's a bit easier than 12ft.io and despite saying "Chrome" it also semi-works in Firefox but you don't get custom links.
