Cursebreaker works well enough. Sure it is limited to Wowinterface and Github releases, but it supports some of the stuff that gets updated daily like raider.io or BigWigs. Mythic Dungeon Tools is one of the few big ones that's missing, but it no longer is a hard requirement like it used to be back in Shadowlands.

I got an idea and I want to make a console tool for some small file management and automatic downloads. I really like how wow's cursebreaker works and looks and I think I'll use it for a template, but I was wondering if anyone here has a nice guide or resource on how to do proper python console GUIs? Just so I can get the hang of fundamentals before trying to do it all at once.

I've been using Curse Breaker thou and I really like doing stuff clean and simple. Handles addons from different sources as well as WeakAuras.

At the time of this sale, a lot of apps (Cursebreaker, Ajour) started popping up, which utilized the Curseforge api to pull addon packages down, thus skirting around Overwolf's application. Fast-forward to a few months ago, Overwolf announced they were reworking the API. This required developers to apply for access, and even if approved, addon devs controlled whether the packages were accessible via the API. Curseforge uses ads to payout developers who host there, so rightfully so, skirting around the Overwolf app wasn't acceptable to them anymore. With these changes, developers of these apps ceased worked on them.

The community will probably take over since it's open source, but the Cursebreaker dev said he is no longer going to be maintaining it himself.

There is Cursebreaker which has some form of github integration for addons already too. It's what I used prior to quitting the game months back so I presume it still works though it is CLI rather than GUI though it works decently well from my experiences.
