Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Whenever Im in a 10 block radius of my mob farm my FPS frop like crazy. Im using optifine, and this is after I killed about half of my animals. Are there any mods that can fix this? Help would be appreciated.

OptiFine alternatives? More specifically looking for mods that allow for OptiFine textures.
I like custom textures but so many of them require OptiFine. I already have a bunch of OptiFine alternatives. I have Sodium, FerriteCore, C2ME, LambDynamicLights, Starlight, and Sodium Extra. I have looked at Animatica but that only allowed for animated textures. Do you guys know of any mods that allow for OptiFine textures but work with my performance mods?

How can I improve performance? Sometimes my frames drop to around 20 per second when entities are near, and it's unplayable. Linked F3 for graphics information and video settings for any suggestions. Thanks
1) LazyDFU: Compiled DFU rules afterwards. 2) EntityCulling: Doesn't render entities that you can't see 3) NoFade: This isn't exactly a performance mod, but fading sometimes makes my game crash, so I use this. 4) NotEnoughCrashes: Again, not a performance mod, but makes crashes much easier to handle. 5) SmoothBoot: Makes Minecraft not hog too many resources when starting up 6) SodiumExtra: Basically adds more options to Sodium. 7) Hydrogen: idk how to describe this (I no longer don't use this as 1.18 hasn't released yet, but I'll this in anyway). 8) C2ME: Improves chunk performance. 9) Enchanced Block Entities: Improves rendering of block entities. Note that this only really shows effect when you're in an area with tons block entities (eg. your storage basement)

What are the best FPS boost/optimization mods for Fabric 21w40a (1.18 snapshot) ?
Keep checking: https://github.com/ishlandbukkit/C2ME-fabric/actions
You can try using C2ME that get's updated a couple days after each snapshot. You will need to go into the actions tab and pull the latest artifact or check the tags page to see if it works with the latest snapshot

Is there a settings for the paper server to change how many cores it uses?
You don't need to redesign the server. You can just use these mods.
- Mod for fast chunk loading?

What would be the best performance mods for a Fabric Server ?
Starlight performs substantially better than phosphor and greatly speeds up terrain generation. Krypton for networking performance. C2ME or tic-tacs (both aim to do the same thing and are not mutually compatible) greatly improve world loading and terrain generation but are experimental and, in my experience, not compatible with a lot of other mods. Dimensional Threading puts each dimension on a separate thread, but also tends to not be very compatible with other mods. FerriteCore aims to reduce ram usage. This page has a whole list of mods.

Whats your opinion on Cardboard, the fabric and bukkit bridge?
Could also pregenerate your world with chunky. To make it quicker add Starlight, Lithium, tic-tacs(This might be incompatible with some worldgen mods, but it massively speeds up terrain gen speeds if it works), and Carpet(use the "/tick freeze" command to freeze the game so there's more resources for terrain gen). Then switch to a paper style Tuinity server and set the worldborder to keep people from moving past pregenerated chunks.

How do i fix minecraft 1.16.4 or 1.16.5 not loading fast
Tic-Tacs for world loading

Is amazing chunk gen/load performance possible without pregen or mods? (for speedrunning)
I would recommend a fabric server running krypton, lithium, starlight, tic-tacs, hydrogen, and ferritecore. Those mods are geared towards optimizing chunk generation and loading while having 0 impact on vanilla game behavior (the last two are geared for reducing ram usage). Of all the performance mods I've messed around with, those are the ones that I would recommend most. You could also add carpet and set it up to add tps to the tab list if you want to easily see that number.

What qol clientside mods should I get for Fabric 1.16.5
tic-tacs is an absolute must as it dramatically improves chunk load times
- Low fps, stutters.
-
mc fps mod
Also try Tic-tacs (can cause some issues).
-
fps-boosting mods?
And also run Tic-TACS which replaces Minecraft's clunky chunk loading engine for a multi-threaded awesomeness. This is the most experimental of the bunch, and the least recommended for any kinds of critical usage.

Attempt to bring more attention to server performance issues
tic-tacs
What are some alternatives?
DimensionalThreading - An attempt to optimize the fabric server, by assigning each dimension their own thread.
Starlight - Rewrites the light engine to fix lighting performance and lighting errors
VanillaFix - Minecraft mod that fixes Vanilla bugs, improves performance, and makes Minecraft run forever
sodium-fabric - A Fabric mod designed to improve frame rates and reduce micro-stutter
krypton - A Fabric mod that optimizes the Minecraft networking stack and entity tracker.
quilt-serverside-mods - A list of server-side mods for the Quilt mod loader; including many Fabric mods (which are compatible with Quilt) and some Quilt-only mods.
DashLoader - Launch at the speed of light.
Minestom - 1.20.4 Lightweight Minecraft server
lithium-fabric - A Fabric mod designed to improve the general performance of Minecraft without breaking things
mc-smoothboot - Improve and tweak Minecraft thread scheduling.
lazydfu - Fabric mod that makes Minecraft DataFixerUpper initialization lazy
