Bushtalk Radio Release 1.5 - Immerse yourself in your surroundings with audio tours, local radio and now, videos! We've mapped 8625 POIs so far but we're always looking for fellow flyers to help us!
Find out how to install Bushtalk Radio for your next flight and help us map the world https://github.com/BushtalkRadio/BushtalkClient
Maybe I'm missing something; are we waiting for it to roll out to CDNs or something? The links to flightsim.to from github and bushtalkradio.com are still pointing me to a client 1.2 from april 21st and the 5800 POIs from may 1st. Is there another place to look?

Can we have a giant freeware thread?
I'm totally biased but check out Bushtalk Radio. Audio tours from the comfort of your cockpit. Users submit landmarks with a script, we generate the audio. The audio tour gets played as you approach the POI in-game. We have 2595 landmarks each with an audio tour, including all in-game POIs (USA, Japan and now UK update).

Forbiden places tour : Nuclear leg (info in comments)
I loved these, do I have your permission to add them to Bushtalk Radio? We collect cool landmarks like these to make audio tours that play next time you fly near them. We have over 2400 but a forbidden series like these would be great
When you arrive at the destination, an audio tour will play. For more information on how to connect, read our github page: https://github.com/BushtalkRadio/BushtalkClient

Which would you choose?
If you have a decently modern phone you can get the smoothtrack app on your phone for $10. You can use that as an input for opentrack. I've been using that for a while, and it seems to be working well. Apparently you can also use a regular webcam in opentrack using aitrack, but I haven't personally used it so I can't vouch for how well it works.

Fugal ¢itizen - SmoothTrack Head Tracking for $10
OpenTrack plus AITrack is 100% free. If you don't have a webcam, toss in DroidCam for Android/iOS and use your smartphone.

F-18 cockpit Jitter FacetrackNoIR
run opentrack https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/releases to get the curves and mapping and aitrack https://github.com/AIRLegend/aitrack for head tracking. 200% better for me.

Johnny Lee's Wii Remote hack to create VR displays is still the most mind-blowing tech demo ever
Someone else pointed out AItrack which makes it possible to headtrack without those LED's and whatnot.

Weekly Questions Thread 2023/01/23
If you have a webcam, there are some free options like opentrack and aitrack. They work together and I’ve had pretty good luck with them. There are several you tube video tutorials on how to set them up. The upside (beyond being free) is that you don’t need anything mounted to your head to get them to work.

[D] Best way to package Pytorch models as a standalone application
This is CPU only but here is an example of a C++ windows application that uses the ONNX runtime. Packaging CUDA (TensorRT really) and getting it to work with ONNX should only be a little bit more work.

Head Tracking through TrackIR. Any way to get this running on the Steam Deck? More in comments.
I've been using a webcam with aitrack and opentrack―both running natively on Linux.
