Super Noob trying to play HotS
I have no idea whether your computer will run thing but a better way (imo) to install games with 3rd party launcher is bottles. Personally prefer it over lutris, it gives a ton of options to tinker with to get things working.

Fedora Silverblue - What are your thoughts on it?
With rising stars like Distrobox and Bottles at your disposal in the event that Flatpak, Toolbx and Layering (in that order) don't suffice in tackling a particular need/problem, Silverblue has offered me:
-
Are you missing any native (free) software in Debian?
bottles https://github.com/bottlesdevs/Bottles/releases
- Why linux mail client developers hate tray icons?

Beta 1.7.3 server list similar to modern Minecraft
Here is a link to Modloader for MCb173. It needs adding directly into the minecraft.jar file, however if you use a launcher like MultiMC, which you can find here: https://multimc.org/ then there is an option to 'add to minecraft jar file' which does the same thing.
-
Custom launcher
Others than that, if you insist, you can take a look at the launcher which u/reginakinhi provided or find others on the internet (GitHub for example). Since PrismLauncher is written in C++, and if you are not familiar with it, you should see other launcher as well. Or else https://github.com/MultiMC/Launcher is an alternate.

Digital Foundry: It's been over six years since I had to reinstall Windows to get Forza Horizon 3 to download - and the Windows Store client is still abysmal. Astonishing that there's been so little improvement, especially when Game Pass's fortunes are tied so closely to PC
You should try MultiMC. Fantastic launcher that lets you install different versions easily, as well as auto-downloads mods and modpacks without going to another site, or messing with the game files.

Guys this is happening to me after i upgraded to windows 11, plz help if you know the fix
Have you tried a third-party launcher? Try MultiMC or go here and get the Windows7/8 alternative launcher, not the recommended launcher

What launchers are safe and can play pixelmon?
Use MultiMC (download) for premium account or UltimMC (download) if playing cracked. It supports Forge, no need for premium account.

Why is my TNT not dropping 100% of the blocks it destroys? 1.19.3 Fabric, mod list inside
The only dumb question is the question unasked. It is MultiMC and you can download it here: https://multimc.org/
