Using only skinchanger in osiris, do I need junkcode / vac bypass / VM protect?
the best practice to stay undetected without using vac bypass is to continually change your build, use undetected injector (preferably manual mapping, since vac hooks functions of loadlibrary), remove PE headers upon injection (helps against auto fingerprinting your build), compile-time xorstr (this can be useful as it changes many parts of binary with each build), and -of course- never share your build.

Good cheap skin changer that gets updated regularly?
Why would a skinchanger need to be updated constantly? You can use OsirisInventory & VAC Bypass loader which are both free and work perfectly.

whats a good skin changer that still works with the new update (I don't want a inv changer, something that won't get me a vac ban)

https://github.com/danielkrupinski/OsirisInventory compile this yourself and use vac bypass (I don't suggest downloading dll's from the web, just compile it yourself to be sure it's 100% safe).
