Exactly this. Blockstream Jade hardware wallet used with Sparrow wallet on a laptop with linux, to make transactions. Then Bluewallet for a watch-only wallet on your phone device.

Checking their website https://altrafinance.io/ a good hint at it being shady is a not working link to the app store. Also ... the website started out as a copy of https://bluewallet.io/

Why isnt bitcoin easy like venmo or zelle? Exchanging digits shouldnrt be so complicated? Which exchange is easy for dumb dumbs like me?
Good Bitcoin wallet apps for mobile are Blockstream Green and BlueWallet. If you want wallets that can do both Bitcoin and Lightning then you can check Muun, Phoenix and Breez.

Both Bitcoin Core and LND have binaries available for macOS, for example. I have not seen an actual guide to set everything up on macOS tho. It's quite similar to Linux honestly.

This has been on going since it's inception in 2009 and here for the lightning implementation lnd. There are also two other lightning implementations. Keep in mind, a significant amount of these contributions come from volunteers like myself.
