Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I fully support this.
Barotrauma (GitHub) does exactly what you described without including assets. All of the source code is public, but since no assets are included, you can’t play the game without buying it.

Questions about math components and how they are run.
https://github.com/Jlobblet/Barotrauma-Circuit-Resolver https://github.com/Regalis11/Barotrauma/discussions/5001
Is there anywhere I can go read about how the mathmatics components work behind the scenes? - I had asked earlier "do anybody need component guide", but it first time somebody need it, so only source now is Wiring Components and GitHub
- Is there any active Monogame project about to be released this next year? I'd like to see.

If you hate Java, write in HTML
Fun fact, the source for Baro is available on Github! https://github.com/Regalis11/Barotrauma
-
What open source games do you play?
I’ve modified it on my side to rebind/add new controls and it worked just fine without the game complaining about me having a modified version. GitHub

You forgot to mention Barotrauma! I really recommend everyone to give it a try with some friends: https://github.com/Regalis11/Barotrauma

What are your thoughts about making open source game?
Barotrauma is a paid game that is partially open-source with the devs taking pull requests and bug reports from their community.

Basketball GM is ready to get you through the rest of the offseason with simulated basketball
For any dev info, I just post it all publicly. There is a changelog, a blog that goes into more detail on some stuff, and it's not really written for public consumption but you can see all the code changes as they happen.
If you give it a try, please let me know how you like it, either here or on /r/BasketballGM! I try my best to listen to feedback - many of the features listed above were suggested by users. And if you really want to go crazy, here's the source code on GitHub, maybe you can get involved there too :)

A couple new frivolities in version 2022.07.05.1384: Oldest and Youngest Championship Teams
Keep in mind this is extremely unorganized, it's not in order of priority, it's not comprehensive, it's just a giant file that I've been dumping stuff in for many years. https://github.com/zengm-games/zengm/blob/master/TODO
Shout out Max for implementing this! Not sure if you're on Reddit too

Player ratings/development revamp - beta testers needed!
The game has always capped the downside. Check the current progression code (largely unchanged in years). For players below 24, you'd get a random distribution of progression that's roughly +/- 5, but it'd get clipped to never go below -4, while allowing it to go up to +20. This is nothing new.
This is some work from /u/nicidob. You can find more details on GitHub and in his messages in the #developers channel on Discord, but if I can summarize it, the general idea is to make career arcs more realistic.

A Dozen Updates I'd like to see in BasketballGM
git clone -b shot-dist https://github.com/nicidob/gm-games.git cd gm-games git remote add upstream https://github.com/zengm-games/zengm.git git fetch upstream git merge upstream/master -X ours -m 'test' yarn yarn build yarn start Then play on the http://localhost:3006 instance.

What are your thoughts about making open source game?
Basketball GM is sorta open-source and has been for quite sometime. I think one of the challenges for that project is getting people to meaningfully contribute. As not only is this a fairly niche genre for a game, but the codebase is somewhat complex too.
