Mod that has a second Illithium source?
I've got the Azengaard mod installed right now. You can obtain another 200 pounds of your favorite ore. You have to work for it, and kill a few Rune Assassins, but that's the way adventuring works. The original mod was a Spell Hold Studios hosted one, but right now SHS is off-line. An alternative is here, which I've tried, and it is bug free and that's with loads of other mods installed. Companions to take in new playthrough?
Adrian is great, especially with Jaheira. The two interact so much that he has a different epilogue depending if they're both in the party (and no, they don't romance each other if that's what you're thinking).

Adrian - a rare example of a well-written evil character. He's bent on power, yes, but he's civil, eloquent, and flirtatious at times. Atypical but - I thought - pretty good. Edwin romance - added romantic track for Edwin, a self-centered and sarcastic wizard. Surprisingly touching at points, and genuinely funny at others. Angelo - Angelo is the epitome of a henchman, basically amoral and willing to do the PC's dirty work. Pursuing him romantically is a terrible idea, as he's only too willing to point out. Keldorn - added romantic track for Keldorn, an older paladin with family troubles who's deeply unsure about falling in love again. Kivan. Returning character from BG1. Kivan is a grim ranger bent only on revenge. Lots of angst at first, lots of sweetness down the road. Starts out mostly as friendship + unrequited pining. I haven't played this one in years, but I remember liking it.
What are some alternatives?
Item_Upgrade - The Item Upgrade Mod Pack allows Cromwell and Cespenar to upgrade more items for you. Half of them are conveniences, the other half try to prop up weapon categories that are "weak" by comparison (e.g., maces and clubs).

SoD-to-BG2EE-Item-Upgrade - Imports more Siege of Dragonspear items into logical (to me at least) locations in BG2:EE during the Shadows of Amn campaign. They are attainable in a variety of ways – quest rewards, drops from enemies killed, shops, and containers.
Region_of_Terror - The mod is based on the adventures of Drizzt Do'Urden. puts in Drizzt and his companions as playable NPC's and you'll be able to play with him through the old and new quests. The mod contains several new big quests and adds in four new cities/villages/towns.
hiddenadventure - Hidden Adventures is a Quest/Tweak Mod for Baldur's Gate 2 (BGII, BGT, BGII:EE, EET). This is the most recent, official mod version.
ImoenFriendship - This mod adds a series of dialogues with Imoen, the PC's sister, expanding on Imoen's experiences and struggles.
Solaufein - Weimer's classic mod changes Solaufein into a joinable NPC for BG2EE and ToB. Revised EE version.
HaerdalisFriendship - This mod adds a series of dialogues with Haer'dalis.
Alora-NPC-for-BG2 - This mod brings Alora, the halfling thief, from Baldur's Gate to Baldur's Gate II. She can be found in Ribald's store
Isra_NPC - This mod adds Isra Ghadir, a young paladin of Sune Firehair, to Baldur's Gate. You can find her in the Nashkel Mines region, trying (with no success whatsoever) to resolve Prism's legal difficulties
CerndFriendship - This mod adds a series of dialogues with Cernd.
ViconiaFriendship - This mod adds a series of dialogues for a female PC or a male PC who has turned Viconia down, and attempts to give someone who isn't interested in a romantic relationship something to bite into. But bear in mind that Viconia is not an easy person to talk to, let alone befriend. She has a mind of her own, and although she is willing to travel with you, she may not wish to become your confidante.
