Scrollbars Are Becoming a Problem
The only solution I've found for addressing this in any meaningful way is AltSnap[0], which lets me avoid needing to find window borders for any resizing or moving operations.

This is one of my favorites features! Try AltSnap for Windows.

Installed windows as a linux user. Recommendations for a status bar and a program launcher?
Coming from Linux, in case you miss the option to drag a window using the Alt-Key and the cursor placed anywhere on it (and not only the title bar), check out AltSnap. It's a maintained fork of the original AltDrag.

Apps that you always install on your pc?
Everything thing else in this thread I use has pretty much already been mentioned expect for Altsnap https://github.com/RamonUnch/AltSnap let's you resize and move windows holding alt and clicking anywhere on the screen. There are a tons of other features built in that you will have to read the documentation for. It feels like something that Windows should have built in a long time ago, and can't ever go back to working without it.

Can Microsoft PLEASE increase the size of the window borders to more than 1 freaking pixel so it doesn't take me 8 seconds to resize a window
Try installing AltSnap and using Alt+Right Click to resize any window under the cursor. https://github.com/RamonUnch/AltSnap/releases

Need Terminal Help- either get command not found, permission denied, or zsh: killed- all for the same thing
Step 1: download the daily build, which in my case, would be App-osx-arm64.tar.gz since I have an M1. I just unzipped it to /Downloads/VDF

I've used Video Duplicate Finder for this before. (Yes, it works on images, supposedly). It's pretty buggy but it does the job.

Finding duplicate videos, automatically delete lower quality version?
I use Video Duplicate Finder in a docker container on my media server. It shows you at a glance which version of a file has the longest duration, highest frame rate, bitrate, resolution, file size, etc.
-
De-duping files across multiple drives?
For videos though I used something different. https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder - its not quite as polished as some software but the results more than make up for it.
- Best way to identify and delete duplicate photos/videos?
- Hoarders help: Anti duplicated image & video files.

Dupe file detector that detects duplicate video files by Thumbnail
SimilarImages and Video Duplicate Finder both work by creating thumbnails of videos and comparing them. VDP is a bit more modern than SI.

Looking for a real duplicate video finder
I'm looking for a duplicate video finder app for macOS. I mean a real app with real content and metadata comparison (eg. can identify 2 same movies, even with different resolution or codec). For now, I've tried: - https://github.com/qarmin/czkawka => does not work on M1 - https://github.com/0x90d/videoduplicatefinder => works great, but on Windows - Gemini 2 => this app is a joke, useless
What are some alternatives?
