There's software called Al Dente that you can use to set a hard limit on your battery charge at all times. It's what I use in my setup where I use an M1 MBP hooked up to a 4K display with power delivery, so it's basically a Mac Mini when I'm at home. There's a workaround that I have not tested, but given the aforementioned software solutions I consider the hassle unnecessary.

For me to reduce aging, I installed an app called Al Dente, and set it's max charge to 80%, because most of the time, my MacBook is plugged in. When I know I won't have a charger, then I charge to 100%.

I have little experience personally to recommend it, but Homebrew (https://brew.sh/) should work, and seems to be just what you are looking for.

How to open large excel files on mac?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/mac | 18 Nov 2021
If you have an actual xlsx file you might want to look into some sort of tool to convert from xlsx to csv. You can probably get xls2csv with homebrew from https://brew.sh
Does anyone know how to change the default font on MacOS? I am dyslexic and I’ve found open dyslexic font helps and I would like to run it across my entire system instead of just pages.

For installing and updating additional fonts, you can fond a ton and install them very easily with homebrew. I'm absolutely certain there are a variety of accessible open source fonts you can find here. I'm pretty sure you can also update safari's default web fonts natively in settings.
Basics of MongoDB
3 projects | dev.to | 18 Nov 2021
It's a little bit more tricky to install MongoDB in MacOS. That's because in MacOS you don't use an installer; you install MongoDB from the terminal. You also need to have in your system the Xcode command line tool and Homebrew. Once you have everything installed, you can install MongoDB by typing the following commands in your terminal.
