Steam UI is massive since updating. I can't even see most of the menu to check settings.
I use this skin its mostly fine and looks much better than default for me
-
I made a partially open-source alternative to the Steam Client
I'd love to some day see a GTK interface option, similar to https://github.com/tkashkin/Adwaita-for-Steam but actually a GTK/libadwaita app rather than just emulating the look.

Factorio crashing when steam invite received on Wayland
A good fix is installing the Adwaita skin for Steam Or if you prefer the vanilla steam use this skin
-
Flatpak Gnome apps can't use cantarell-static
I'm using cantarell-static for Adwaita-for-Steam to work better. After an flatpak package update, none of my flatpak gnome apps can use this font anymore.

What is up with the botched Steam client updates recently lol
- Patch steam library files

FYI: Two UI bugs in latest Linux Steam client
The adwaita theme for steam does not have the first issue.

Using a steam skin I made, today it just cut off half the top tool bar. what is this?
All you have to do is to edit resource/layout/uinavigatorpanel.layout of your skin and replace all references to emailreminderbar or phonereminderbar with LibraryAnchor. Here is this fix applied to my skin for example.

Which web browser do you use and why?
There's even a Steam skin that is a faux libadwaita overhaul which is good enough to have it fit in a lot better.

The illusion of free choice
Honestly, the reason I use Firefox and nothing else is this awesome theme that fits right in with my desktop.
I just checked this discussion here (https://github.com/rafaelmardojai/firefox-gnome-theme/discussions/447) and it seems this theme is not tested/might not work well on Windows :( sorry my comment was misleading, I didn't think this post was going to get this much traction.

This is probably for you then, https://github.com/rafaelmardojai/firefox-gnome-theme

How do you think with GTK4 none themable?
It's nice in theory to try to have a cohesive design, but as soon as you start downloading additional apps, thing will start being less and less coherent. Maybe you'll get Firefox to match the rest of the system (but that will require a separately maintained CSS for every ,theme like what Rafael Mardojai does for Firefox), but apps Chromium, OBS, Steam, Discord, Spotify? It's not realistic to expect every App to maintain a version that fits every DE there is. The only thing I would care about is that the apps come with a Light/Dark mode and follow the system preference.

Gnome with Fedora is awesome
If you haven't seen it already the GNOME Firefox theme is really nice for consistency https://github.com/rafaelmardojai/firefox-gnome-theme

Safari 16 on Windows Concept
I'm pretty sure it's Firefox GNOME theme.

Firefox with a GNOME theme applied
i've used this Firefox GNOME theme for so long that I forgot that this isn't how Firefox looks by default lol
