Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I use (and develop) `goat`. It's like a shortcut manager for aliases for directories you go to often. And a way to make "cd ...." work for any number of dots.

ioctl and TIOCSTI alternatives
I'm trying to fix a terminal utility call hstr that used the ioctl(0, TIOCSTI, char) function to print the command selected from the user to the terminal ready to be used.
